Responsibilities
In this Collections Clerk role in Mississauga, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Routinely monitor account activity and balances utilizing various systems and reports.
  • Initiate contact with other companies to secure payment of outstanding invoices.
  • Provide invoices and/or documentation as required to aid in the escalation of payment.
  • Collect customer payments by payment due dates while adhering to established requirements and internal controls.
  • Receive inbound calls and email correspondence from customers.
  • Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and escalate for management feedback and involvement as necessary.
  • Analyze account balance and status to recommend credit holds due to nonpayment.
  • Perform collaboratively within a remote work environment interacting with appropriate teams to provide notice of delinquency and obtain assistance in the collection's effort.
  • Provide timely followup on payment arrangements.
  • Develop and maintain a positive customer relationship.
  • Research and resolve dispute issues promptly.
  • Document the outcome of all customer communications.
Qualifications
In this Collections Clerk in Mississauga, you will require the following:

  • Postsecondary education in business administration, accounting or bookkeeping is an asset.
  • 1 + years of experience in Collections and customer service is required.
  • Bilingual French proficiency is a great asset.
