As a Showroom Consultant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting customers in assessing their needs, directing their product selections, and closing the sale
  • Developing and building strong relationships with designers, home builders and architects to grow profitable sales
  • Providing customers with quick reliable quotes and accurate delivery dates
  • Meeting or exceeding monthly product specific sales and gross profit targets
  • Entering orders and quotes in the system, expediting purchases while maintaining proactive communication with customers
  • Investigating and resolving customer issues; addressing short payments and returns in a timely fashion
  • Maintaining product literature to ensure most current information is available to customers
  • Driving showroom sales through promotions and maintaining display materials
  • Understanding and following all safety regulations at all customer locations

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; College and/or University degree an asset
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with customer service or sales; plumbing, kitchen or bathroom showroom sales preferred
  • Valid driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract
  • Ability to gain comprehensive knowledge of products on display at the Showroom
  • Knowledge of kitchen and bath design trends
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
  • Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and teammates
  • Able to identify customer needs, provide solutions and close the sale
  • Possess excellent project management skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience with or knowledge of products sold in the plumbing, kitchen, or bathroom showrooms
  • Experience using Trend and Eclipse
