Job Summary:
The Regional District of Mount Waddington is seeking a highly skilled Operations Specialist to support our services related to water treatment and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, solid waste management, fire protection, and transportation infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support water treatment and distribution services to ensure safe and reliable drinking water for our communities.
- Contribute to wastewater collection and treatment services to protect our environment and public health.
- Assist with solid waste management services to maintain a clean and healthy community.
- Collaborate with our fire protection team to ensure the safety of our residents and visitors.
- Work with our transportation infrastructure team to maintain and improve our roads and bridges.
Requirements:
- Diploma in engineering technology or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Experience working in a project management capacity, preferably in local government.
- Knowledge and experience in water, wastewater, solid waste, fire protection, or transportation is an asset.
What We Offer:
- A 35-hour work week with a generous benefit plan.
- A competitive hourly rate of $34.87 per hour, as per the RDMW Collective Agreement.
