Job Summary: Associate Director (On Call) (French Services) responsible for organizing and contributing to video production for television and other media platforms. Job Description: At CBC/Radio-Canada, we create content that informs, entertains and connects Canadians on multiple platforms. As an Associate Director (On Call) (French Services), you will be responsible for preparing materials and assisting in the presentation of scripts. You will also gather information required to produce the show, ensure necessary revisions are made to lineups, and inform all affected personnel of any changes. You will compile and proofread all information for credit lists and keys. You will request facilities, as well as the necessary technical, design and post-production resources, and ensure coordination of these bookings during the development and modification of the production schedule. This is an on-call position for replacement coverage, primarily Monday to Friday, from 4:45 PM to 8:45 PM. Candidates may be asked to work different shifts based on operational needs. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare materials and assist in the presentation of scripts • Gather information required to produce the show • Ensure necessary revisions are made to lineups • Inform all affected personnel of any changes • Compile and proofread all information for credit lists and keys • Request facilities and resources • Coordinate bookings during production schedule development Requirements: • College diploma in radio and television arts or equivalent • Three (3) or more years' relevant experience • Superior French-language skills (spoken and written) • Good knowledge of newsroom operations • Proven knowledge of iNEWS, Google suite, and MediaCentral editing software • Solid communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to research and gather information from a variety of sources • Good technical and production skills • Excellent prioritizing and problem-solving skills • Solid organizational skills • Openness to new work methods About CBC/Radio-Canada: CBC/Radio-Canada is committed to being a leader in reflecting our country's diversity.
