We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Director to join our team at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. As an Associate Director, you will play a key role in the preparation, production, and post-production of videos for television and other media platforms.
Key Responsibilities:- Organize and contribute to the preparation, production, and post-production of videos for television and other media platforms.
- Coordinate the activities of others and ensure accuracy and attention to detail.
- Prepare required materials, assist in the presentation of scripts, and gather information required to produce the show.
- Compile and proofread all information for credit lists and keys.
- Request facilities and technical resources, and ensure coordination of these bookings during the development and modification of the production schedule.
- College diploma in radio and television arts or the equivalent.
- Three (3) or more years' relevant experience in television production, IT, and broadcasting technologies.
- Superior French-language skills (spoken and written); working knowledge of spoken and written English is an asset.
- Good knowledge of newsroom operations.
- Proven knowledge of iNEWS, the Google suite, and MediaCentral editing software.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to research and gather information from a variety of sources.
- Good technical and production skills.
- Excellent prioritizing and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated attention to accuracy under time constraint.
- Solid organizational skills.
- Openness to new work methods.
