**Digital Communications and Engagement Specialist**

A highly skilled professional is sought to lead the BC Liquor Distribution Branch's digital communication strategies and content, strengthening relationships with employees, customers, and stakeholders, and managing the organization's reputation.

About the BC Liquor Distribution Branch:

The BC Liquor Distribution Branch is one of two branches of government that provide oversight for the beverage alcohol and non-medical cannabis industries in the province. The LDB is responsible for the wholesale distribution of liquor and cannabis, and operates the retail brands BCLIQUOR and BC Cannabis Stores.

The LDB is committed to government's goals of making life better for people in B.C., improving services, and ensuring a sustainable province for future generations. The revenue generated by the LDB helps fund essential public services like health care, education, and community programming.

**About the Role:**

The Digital Communications and Engagement Specialist will lead the LDB's digital communication strategies and content, collaborating with the Senior Manager of Communications and Stakeholder Relations and the Director of Corporate Communications and Stakeholder Relations to define and implement the overall digital communications plan.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement digital communications and corporate communication strategies, policies, plans, and performance metrics to achieve set goals.
  • Develop web content and/or social media strategy, execute, and evaluate.
  • Prepare and proofread content for online, publications, documents, social media, reports, and communication materials for mass distribution.

**Requirements:**

  • Degree or diploma in communications, digital strategy, or a related discipline and a minimum of 2 years of recent, related work experience.
  • OR A combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Experience leading digital communications and engagement in a government or regulatory environment.
  • Experience with website design and user experience.
  • Experience in leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in audio/video production.
  • Experience with managing large, virtual meetings.
