The ideal candidate will lead, motivate, and develop member service staff to minimize risk and enhance member relationships through innovative strategies and service delivery. Key responsibilities include:

  • Staff Development
    • Coach and support Member Advisors to ensure success in delivering on performance standards
    • Evaluate performance of staff, identify training and development requirements
    • Make decisions concerning appropriate action to take, if necessary, initiate disciplinary procedures
  • Training and Development
    • Provide training to new staff as well as conduct on-going training "refreshers" to present staff
    • Ensure that product knowledge is sufficient to foster business development
    • Recruitment and management of new employees' training progress
  • Collaboration and Innovation
    • Work closely with team members, including cross-training, to ensure organizational alignment in processes, tools, and standards
    • Recognize and coach to opportunities to promote, cross-sell and refer additional credit union products and services
    • Collaborate on strategic business issues and take actions to improve productivity and profitability
    • Lead and/or actively participate in department and Credit Union meetings
    • Seek opportunities for innovation and efficiencies using innovative thinking

Preferred Hiring Criteria:

  • Minimum of one year of related post-secondary education and 3-5 years of financial services experience
  • Diploma or degree in a related discipline (Business Administration, Commerce, Technology Management, Marketing, etc.)
  • Proven results in strong sales and service skills
  • Completion of sales and/or supervisory training
  • Strong computer and technology skills (Microsoft programs, Omni channels etc)
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous education and personal development
  • Proven success in championing MRM and Veripark
