Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Industry Marketing, this individual contributor role will be the lead on developing and implementing a highly polished social media and public relations strategy. You'll be responsible for collaborating with our first-rate Marketing team to share the exciting narrative of our organization's groundbreaking work in transforming how research is done.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with demonstrated success in building newsworthy storytelling. They will be adept at co-developing brand collateral and digital content creation. Having a diverse experience in a wide range of PR functions and knowing how to develop positive relationships with both internal colleagues and external members of an industry community will be key.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, evolve and develop social media and marketing/public relations strategy and plan
- Partner closely with a high-functioning, first-rate Marketing department to ensure all campaigns align with organizational goals, growth priorities and new enterprise business opportunities
- Lead on organizational social media channels – including content creation, operationalizing tactics to support increased viewership/followers
- Confident in marketing reporting and using data analytics to measure strategy effectiveness. Will leverage analysis of reporting to make recommendations on opportunities and for continued optimization
- Effective at building rapport and trusting relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders
- Write both proactive and timely press releases, panel remarks/keynote speeches, and develop media kits including for social media
- Collaborate with the Product, Customer Success and Sales teams to understand the product roadmap and translating impact and value to customers
- Able to identify key trade and technology publications to partner with and distribute content
- Able to develop PR strategies quickly to manage unexpected situations or industry developments
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Communications, Public Relations, Business, Marketing, or a related field
- 7-10 years of professional experience in social media, public relations and marketing communications
- Exceptional writing and editing skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and presentation skills
- Deep knowledge of traditional, digital, and social media channels
- A high-level thinker who also has an appetite for keeping track of details
- Ability to multi-task and perform duties under minimal supervision while exercising discretion and independent judgment in a fast-paced environment
- Strong project management and coordination skills - from the initial content idea through to creative production
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and creative problem-solving skills
- Experience in either high-tech or healthcare marketing - or both
