Job Summary

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the banquet staff and personally assisting in executing events to meet and exceed customer expectations. You will develop and direct a team to provide consistent, high-quality service, communicate performance expectations, and train staff in processes. Additionally, you will manage financial and administrative duties, ensuring the smooth operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage departmental inventories and assets, including par levels and maintenance of equipment.
  • Conduct monthly department meetings with banquet captains and employees.
  • Maintain attendance logs for banquet employees.
  • Enforce established sanitation levels and ensure employee awareness of event phase portions of the Meeting Planner Survey and Guest Satisfaction Scores.
  • Order supplies for the department, including china, glass, silver, buffet presentations, props, and other service equipment needs.
  • Use banquet beverage "Use" records to guide banquet beverage supervisors in controlling liquor costs, managing the banquet beverage perpetual inventory, and requisitioning liquor.
  • Schedule banquet service staff to forecast and service standards, while maximizing profits.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, or related professional area.
