Provincial Patient Flow Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to oversee and coordinate Patient Flow across the Health System as an integral member of the Manitoba Patient Flow Structure.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate patient flow and resource utilization based on provincial clinical standards and guidelines, across services and sites as required.
- Monitor provincial system capacity and act to identify and mitigate risks associated with overcapacity situations.
- Participate in fostering linkages across sectors and regions to support improved access to care.
- Work closely with regional utilization teams, medical and clinical leaders at sites, and other stakeholders to identify operational business needs and opportunities.
- 3-5 years of leadership experience, including experience in a patient/resident/client care setting.
- 3 years' experience in the acute care system.
- 2 years' experience in patient flow or bed utilization.
- 2 years' experience managing processes and projects.
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant health discipline from an accredited post-secondary education institution.
- Active member in good standing of an associated regulatory body as appropriate.
- Demonstrated mid-level leadership capabilities.
- Experience working with individuals from diverse cultural, social, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Must be able to work safely in a typical computerized office environment with frequent meetings.
- Must be able to lift and carry items of up to approximately 25 pounds.
- Travel to other health care facilities throughout the province may be required.
