Job Title: Seasonal Tech Shop Technician

Conservation Halton is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Seasonal Tech Shop Technician to join our team at Glen Eden ski resort in Milton, ON.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, inspect, and operate Tech Shop machinery and tools, ensuring proper maintenance and repair of ski and snowboard equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock levels to meet customer demand.
  • Perform ski and snowboard tune-ups, repairs, and adjustments to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ensure all equipment meets safety protocols and is properly maintained to prevent accidents.
  • Assist customers with equipment sizing, fitting, and selection, promoting comfort and safety.
  • Explain proper use of rental equipment and safety practices to customers.
  • Process and manage rental equipment returns, reservations, and check-ins.
  • Work collaboratively with the Tech Department to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
  • Completion of binding certifications and/or experience with ski/snowboard repair.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with hand-held tools and point-of-sale procedures is an asset.
  • Knowledge of conservation areas and recreational programming is an asset.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, nights, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and stand for long periods.
