Position Overview
We have an exciting fun and creative opportunity for a Digital Content Specialist In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing digital content across various online platforms. Your primary focus will be to engage our audience, drive traffic, and increase brand awareness through compelling and relevant content. Join the City of Kamloops today

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

Completion of a post-secondary diploma in communications, public relations, journalism, or related discipline.Minimum 2 years' experience developing content strategies and managing websites and social media channels. A combination of related education and experience may be considered.Proficient in proofreading and grammar, as demonstrated through testing (70% pass rate required).BC Driver's License Class 5.
For new hires, and for those working in designated positions of trust, including those working directly with vulnerable persons, no formal offer of employment will be made until an applicant completes a police information check.

A comprehensive benefits package is included with this position. This is a CUPE local 900 position.

Please note that this is a new job classification and is subject to agreement between the Employer and the Union.

$35.55

Hours & Days of Work
Monday to Friday:
8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Summer)
8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (Winter)
