Drupal QA Automation Tester

**INTRODUCTION**

We are looking for an experienced Drupal Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Tester to join the Digital Convergence team. This dynamic consulting firm provides sustainable technology solutions focused on unlocking customers and enabling employees.

This position is open to local and/or remote work-from-home **in Canada**.

**ROLE SPECIFICS**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop, maintain, review and enhance test plan and test case to cover functional and non-functional test in automation in Drupal 9 environment.
- Perform extensive testing, and ensure high-quality solutions.
- Perform peer code review before merging code with master and main code in GIT repository.
- Report, research, validate and track complex defects with high quality
- Provide accurate test estimates and schedule, proactively discuss with team and stakeholders.
- Proactively contributes in retrospectives and defect escape analysis for completed projects.
- Work on large, complex projects across multiple teams and ensure their implementation.
- Assist the team in product release to conform quality of product
- Participate in daily scrum, stand up meetings.
- Write testable, efficient, secure and reusable code for continuous integration/deployment.
- Be responsible for the overall code quality of the components under your team's responsibility.
- Be accountable for the performance, reliability, scalability and resiliency of all components within your team's purview based on SLAs and monitoring the progress of tasks.
- Develop a thorough understanding of technology roadmaps and influence them with technical and factual arguments.
- Validate clearly defined technical solutions to business needs.
- Collaborate with other (remote) developers, participate in daily stand-ups and perform peer-review of other team members' code.
- Collaborate and communicate clearly with all members of our team, including internal and external stakeholders.
- Using team management tools - Atlassian (Jira/ Confluence) to report bugs/documentation of requirements
- Become a trusted thought leader with key project-level responsibilities and ownership.
- Act as an ambassador to Digital Convergence, participating in company events, contributing to the corporate blog, and providing documented insights.
- Other duties as assigned.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- QA Automation Tester with minimum 2 years of experience in Software Development Life Cycle, Requirements gathering, Analysis, Design, Documentation, Development Testing using Agile Scrum and Waterfall methodologies
- Over 5 years of experience in Manual Testing
- Experience with Content Management Systems (specifically Drupal)
- Knowledge in QA Methodology (Regression and Smoke testing)
- Test Case designing - identifying test data needs and set up, testing techniques and test optimization methods
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
- Experience using a Test Case Management System
- Experience testing Drupal 9, Selenium, Java
- Experience on Selenium along with Java or Python
- Knowledge of best practices for Agile testing on a Scrum team
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders to establish trust and rapport.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
