Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering direct client care and developing treatment plans
  • Providing therapeutic clinical interventions and effective milieu management
  • Administering and monitoring medications and related health care procedures
  • Collaborating with families and community supports to meet client needs
  • Establishing and maintaining professional working relationships within the inter-professional team and community
  • Identifying and accessing community resources
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experience in psychiatry, with child and adolescent mental health experience preferred
  • Graduation from an approved program in Psychiatric Nursing or Nursing (B.Sc.P.N., B.Sc. M.H. or B.Sc.N. preferred)
  • Active registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM) or the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM)
  • Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA)/Registered Psychiatric Nurses Act
