Job Title: Special Interest Instructor - Ski

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ski Instructor to join our team at the Town of Georgina. As a Ski Instructor, you will be responsible for providing safe and enjoyable ski lessons to customers of all ages and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, and instruct safe ski lessons to customers of all ages and abilities.
  • Assess participants and complete report cards at the end of each session.
  • Monitor participants and adapt lessons as necessary.
  • Prepare lesson materials, including structured lesson plans and on-hill set up.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and interact with participants, staff, and community members.
  • Follow up with parents/guardians regarding students' progression.
  • Perform administrative tasks to support the program as assigned by the Recreation Programmer.
  • Ensure all participants wear industry-standard equipment required for their lesson.

Requirements:

  • Excellent ski ability and knowledge of The Alpine Responsibility Code.
  • Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) deemed satisfactory by the Town.
  • Level 1 Certified Instructor (CSIA or CASI) or willingness to attain certification prior to season start.
  • Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C is considered an asset.

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work in and withstand severe cold and adverse weather conditions.
