About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Perioperative Services Attendant to join our team at the University Health Network. As a key member of our Operating Room team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport patients, equipment, and supplies in a safe and efficient manner
  • Stock and maintain necessary inventories in patient holding areas and other designated spaces
  • Provide patient-focused care and assistance, including preparing areas for surgery
  • Perform cross-functional duties as assigned and/or required
Requirements
  • Completion of Grade Xll or recognized equivalent
  • One (1) year recent experience in a related patient care capacity
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and other relevant legislation
  • Knowledge of procedures for handling contaminated materials
  • Ability to set up and maintain equipment, tools, and instruments common to the Surgical Services environment
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing, stooping, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching without physical discomfort
