Job DescriptionAs a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring, sampling, and troubleshooting process equipment for assigned units, while working under the supervision of an experienced mentor. You will also be expected to maintain a high level of housekeeping in the shop and work areas, focus on implementing "Best Practices," and rotate through field and plant units.
Key Responsibilities- Perform various duties as required by your select area of employment, following all Imperial Safety, Security, Health & Environmental (SSHE) policies.
- Maintain the housekeeping standard for the shop and work areas.
- Focus on "Best Practices" implementation and development.
- Rotate through field and plant units.
- Participate in the proactive safety program.
- Take responsibility for costs within area of control.
We are looking for a candidate with a high school diploma or GED equivalent, who is committed to obtaining a 4th Class or 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate. A valid Class 5 driver's license and safe driving record are also required.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience- Proof of membership from one of the following communities: Cold Lake First Nations, Beaver Lake Cree Nation, Frog Lake First Nation, Heart Lake First Nation, Kehewin Cree Nation, Onion Lake First Nation, Saddle Lake Cree Nation, Whitefish/Goodfish Lake First Nation, Buffalo Lake Métis Settlement, Elizabeth Métis Settlement, Fishing Lake Métis Settlement, Kikino Métis Settlement, St. Paul-Cold Lake Métis District 12, Lac La Biche Métis District 19.
- A one-year paid internship with possibility of a one-year extension.
