Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Department Manager to oversee the stock unloading process and ensure a smooth flow of merchandise to the sales floor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities of associates, unloading trailers, and processing merchandise in a safe and clean environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contribute to a safe and clean work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.
  2. Prepare and reset the Receiving Area to ensure efficient merchandise processing.
  3. Unload and sort general merchandise trailers, and complete live unloading of other types of merchandise.
  4. Delegate and follow up on pallets of merchandise to the sales floor for overnight processing.
  5. Assist in stocking, applying product protection, and binning overstock merchandise as assigned.
  6. Provide training, coaching, and feedback to associates.
  7. Act as team lead by providing direction to CAP 2 Associates.
  8. Maintain the cold chain for refrigerated and frozen receiving.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You should be able to prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and ensure that all merchandise is processed efficiently and safely.
