About the RoleThe Nutritionist will be the lead on healthy eating and food security initiatives, working with community partners to take action and advance policy and system change to create supportive social, economic and physical environments that protect and promote health.
- Lead on healthy eating and food security initiatives
- Work with community partners to advance policy and system change
- Develop and implement programs, policies, services, and initiatives related to nutrition and food security
- Collaborate with the Healthy Communities Team to address local population health needs
We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor degree in Human Nutrition plus 5 years community-based/Public Health experience or a Masters' degree in Community Nutrition/Public Health/Health Promotion plus 2 years community-based/Public Health experience.
- Bachelor degree in Human Nutrition plus 5 years community-based/Public Health experience
- Masters' degree in Community Nutrition/Public Health/Health Promotion plus 2 years community-based/Public Health experience
- Licensed with a provincial regulatory body and hold PDt or RD designation
- Experience in planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of nutrition and food security related programs, policies, services, and initiatives
- Temporary Part Time /50% FTE/ 35 Hours Bi-weekly
- Starting September 2024 to December 2024 (approximate 4-month term)
- $45.86 Hourly
