The Goodyear Management Leadership Development Program is a two-year program that provides hands-on experience in various roles within the company, with a focus on leadership development and plant optimization.

Minimum qualifications – Bachelor's degree or three year certificate in engineering, business management or related discipline.

The program aims to:

  • Gain knowledge and understanding of the plant's entry-level management opportunities.
  • Attain a well-rounded knowledge base for effective decision-making.
  • Acquire basic leadership competencies for entry-level positions.

The program structure includes:

  • Shadowing a Process engineer, Health and Safety Manager, Plant Optimization Leader, and Business Leader for 3-month assignments.
  • Involvement in Plant Optimization projects.
  • Learning problem-solving and continuous improvement methods relative to the business quarter.
  • Writing reports to demonstrate knowledge of the plant's manufacturing processes.
  • Performing a challenge assignment in each designated position.
  • Completing designated management and leadership courses for entry-level managers.

Upon successful completion of the first year, the candidate would typically be assigned to a one-year assignment as a Shift Operations Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a Bachelor's degree or three year certificate in engineering, business management or related discipline.
  • Must be geographically mobile upon completion of the two-year program.
  • Candidates should be highly energized and self-motivated with experience working with teams to implement change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Personal computer skills in a networked environment.

Preference will be given to those candidates who have a demonstrated history of successfully leading and facilitating changes in a 24/7 operation with measurable results.
