Irving Shipbuilding Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer.

This is a permanent full-time role based in Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia. The primary language of work is English. Qualifications:

· Education: Accredited degree in Electrical Engineering

o Registration with or eligible for registration with Engineers Nova Scotia as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng)

· Experience: 4-8 years

· Experience integrating electrical systems.

· Project management experience

· Marine design and/or build experience considered an asset.

All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Key Responsibilities:

· Technical Oversight of the design as it relates to assigned system(s), Reviewing drawings, fielding questions, etc.

· Technical Management Equipment Subcontractor(s), as it relates assigned system(s)

· Technical Management of the Design Agent, as it relates to assigned system(s)

· General Electrical Engineering Support

· Customer management (Internal and External), as it relates to assigned system(s)

· Procurement support, as it relates to assigned system(s)

· Change management, as it relates to assigned system(s)
