Nova Scotia Health is the largest provider of health services in Nova Scotia, with a mission to achieve excellence in health, healing, and learning. We operate hospitals, health centres, and community-based programs across the province, providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services.

The Manager Child and Adolescent Services will be responsible for planning, developing, implementing, supervising, and evaluating the Mental Health and Addictions Child and Adolescent clinical outpatient teams. This role requires a strong understanding of mental health and addiction services, as well as experience in leadership and management.

About the Role
  • Master's Degree in a recognized mental health and/or addiction health discipline or related field, with five years' experience in a mental health and addictions system preferred
  • Registered/eligible for registration and a member in good standing of the relevant regulatory body
  • Minimum of five years' experience in working in the mental health and addictions field
  • Formal leadership experience in the health care field, Mental Health & Addictions experience preferred
  • Management skills demonstrated through planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluating
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sound knowledge of population health and primary health care and programming related to the target population
  • Sound knowledge of and demonstrated compliance with standards, ethics, and legislation
  • Clinical knowledge and ability to use sound professional judgment and initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain productivity and personal health
  • Exceptional time management, critical thinking, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours and Compensation
  • Permanent Full-time (100%) Position; 75 Hours Bi-weekly
