The Data Coordinator, Clinical Trials functions as a member of the collaborative, interdisciplinary Clinical Trials Team responsible for planning and implementing clinical trials. The Data Coordinator participates in the coordination of clinical trials from the protocol review and approval stage through to activation, trial closure and follow-up.

**Key Responsibilities** * **Data Management** * Organize and maintain study files and documentation. * Prepare reports and regulatory documents as required. * Ensure follow-up tests are completed and deficiencies reported. * Organize and conduct study start-up and termination procedures with outside agencies. * Correlate, organize, and calculate trials data for reports, audits, studies, and other client needs. * **Data Retrieval and Coding** * Retrieve or request data by identifying selection parameters for retrieval. * Obtain information from the patient, chart, family, or other health care professional as required. * Utilize coding systems and resources to code and input data. * **Data Capture and Collection** * Capture clinical trials data as specified in the protocol and in collaboration with the Clinical Trials Team. * Design and develop clinical trial data collection tools in collaboration with the Clinical Trials Team. **Requirements** * Completion of a recognized Health Record Administration Program with eligibility for membership in the Canadian College of Health Records Administrators at the Certificate level. * Two (2) years recent related data management experience in a clinical trials environment or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. * Certification such as the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) or Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) Clinical Research Associate/Coordinator Certification preferred. **Essential Skills** * Demonstrate relevant clinical research knowledge. * Perform data capture, management, and retrieval using automated or manual information systems. * Deal with others effectively. * Demonstrate interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. * Organize work and set priorities. * Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act. * Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.). **What We Offer** * Join one of BC's largest employers with province-wide programs, services, and operations. * Access to professional development opportunities through our in-house training programs. * Enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including municipal pension plan, and psychological health & safety programs and holistic wellness resources. * Annual statutory holidays (13) with generous vacation entitlement and accruement. * PHSA is a remote work-friendly employer, welcoming flexible work options to support our people. * Access to WorkPerks, a premium discount program offering a wide range of local and national discounts. **About BC Cancer** BC Cancer provides comprehensive cancer control for the people of British Columbia.
