Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Worker to join our team at Compass Canada. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing, presenting, and serving meals to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, including soups, salads, and entrees, to ensure high-quality presentation and taste.
  • Food Service: Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner, following established steps of service to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations to prevent cross-contamination and foodborne illness.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing supplies, and maintaining accurate records of inventory levels.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to achieve goals and objectives, and provide support as needed to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certifications: FoodSafe Level 1 Certification required.
  • Experience: Previous food service experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably in a healthcare, hotel, restaurant, or fast food setting.
  • Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks with minimal breaks.
