Project Manager - Installation and Group Leadership

CAE is a world-class company and industry leader in training for the civil aviation, defence and security, and healthcare markets. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Project Manager to join our team.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the physical installation of our simulators, ensuring that they are installed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will also lead a team of experts from various sectors, including building requirements specialists, installation supervisors, installation support, flight controls and motion technicians, and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project management: supervise the assigned projects realization by regularly following each project specific requirements, work progress, quick show stoppers and snag resolution, associated budget and expenses, resources assignments, and group leading.
  • Group leading: meet the teams to provide pertinent work information, encourage sharing good practices and efficient processes, have regular one-on-one meetings with the employees, ensure the team members have the required tools to do the work efficiently, encourage and guide the employees in their professional growth, and prepare year-end talent and compensation review.
  • Health and Safety responsibility for in-field installations: ensure environment conformity, people conformity, put in place rules and processes, and follow up on key performance indicators results.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in project and people management.
  • Quick adaptability to changes.
  • Availability for occasional projects progress and team members follow-up outside standard working hours.
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English.
  • Strong leadership in decision taking.
  • Determination to challenge existing processes to encourage continuous improvements.
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment physical installation (flight simulators) is an asset.
  • Experience in Health and Safety at work is an asset.
