Commercial Lines Account Manager role involves managing and servicing commercial accounts, reviewing renewals, and assisting clients with day-to-day inquiries.

Morison Insurance, a family-owned and operated business, is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join its team of insurance professionals. With over 30 years of experience, the company has grown from one office with 3 employees to 100 employees in 7 offices across Southern Ontario.

The ideal candidate will have a Registered Insurance Broker License (RIBO), knowledge in Commercial Property & Casualty, Commercial Auto, and Farm Insurance, and strong customer service skills. They will also be able to develop insurance market knowledge, understand wordings and coverages, and compare insurance policies and quotes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and servicing commercial accounts
  • Reviewing renewals with clients, providing coverage recommendations
  • Assisting clients with their day-to-day inquiries
  • Opportunities to write New Business through referrals
  • Marketing existing accounts to insurance companies
  • Developing insurance market knowledge in order to know where a risk will fit
  • Understanding wordings and coverages to be able to compare insurance policies and quotes

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Registered Insurance Broker License (RIBO)
  • Knowledge in Commercial Property & Casualty, Commercial Auto, and Farm Insurance
  • Completed, enrolled or interested in the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) courses would be an asset
  • College Insurance Program Diploma or an undergraduate degree is an asset
  • Strong customer service skills to build relationships and maintain long-term growth and retention
  • Excellent organizational, planning and prioritizing skills
  • A positive attitude with a strong work ethic
