Senior Commercial Insurance Account Manager

Job Opportunity:
MT Talent is partnering with a local insurance provider to source their next Account Manager. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a company that has delivered exceptional customer experiences for 40 years, resulting in their growth to become one of the largest independent insurance providers in Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to client inquiries and provide prompt, friendly service
- Collaborate with Account Executives on new business workflows
- Review and recommend renewals, completing comparison quotes and remarketing as needed
- Issue Certificates of Insurance and accurately handle change requests
- Manage complex accounts to provide creative solutions for clients
- Function as a front-line underwriter for qualifying, maintaining, and promoting sound quality business
- Support clients with reporting claims and follow up in a timely manner
- Manage account receivables and work closely with Account Executives to identify cross-sell opportunities
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry, with 3+ years in commercial insurance preferred
- RIBO License
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Insurance, Business, Finance, Administration, or related field (asset but not mandatory)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Collaborative team player with a strong work ethic and accountability
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with attention to detail, confidentiality, and respect
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Working towards CAIB or CIP Designation (preferred)
- Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite and insurance-specific software (experience with Power Broker and Policy Works is an asset)
