Job Description:

Looking for a chance to make your mark in a fast-paced, professional, and fun environment? As the successful candidate you will be responsible for managing the Skyline Industrial REIT assets through supportive responsibility for the division's profitability. Responsibilities also include strategic planning, identifying, and analyzing cost saving opportunities and providing leadership to the applicable department managers and directors while supporting Skyline's shared goal of increasing efficiency and surfacing value in real estate.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide leadership, overall management, and guidance to the asset management activities of the Industrial REIT.
  • Implement programs to ensure achievement of the business plan for growth as well as profit.
  • Identify operational strengths and weaknesses and act to improve overall portfolio performance for the Industrial REIT.
  • Identify existing potential market threats and opportunities for current services.
  • Ensure effective communication is maintained between companies.
  • Establish and build effective relationships with Colleagues, Vendors, and Executive Management.
  • Work closely with the President, Skyline Industrial, and the Asset Management team on the acquisition of new properties.
  • Establish leasing objectives/guidelines, provide oversight of revenue management system/strategy, manage lease process as needed for industrial assets and prepare execution recommendations to Portfolio Managers.
What we look for:
  • Extensive experience with all aspects of industrial property asset management; leasing, acquisitions, and dispositions; underwriting, negotiating, and relationship management.
  • Experience in completing real estate financing of all types.
  • Bachelor's degree in real estate, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or any other related field.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of asset management, and acquisition experience in the industrial sector and a minimum five (5) years in a supervisory position.
  • Working knowledge of cap rates, debt rates, ROE, IRR, rent rolls, structural, ESA (environmental reports), appraisals, etc.
  • Able to competently develop, read and understand financial statements.
  • Able to effectively negotiate contracts and agreements.
  • Ability to make critical decisions independently and act as a strategic thinker.
  • Capable of operating under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule and travel when required.
