Senior Project Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Plan and oversee projects, create estimates for materials, costs, and timelines, generate reports and design specs for machinery and systems.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for the entire process, including documentation, troubleshooting, enhancements, upkeep, and training.
  • Ensure the process is capable of meeting print specifications for parts.
  • Lead diverse teams to ensure successful program launches.
  • Execute Advanced Product Quality Planning document (APQP).
  • Lead the development of Process Flows, Process Sheets, FMEA's, and Control Plans.
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Assist in preparing quotations.
  • Follow the TS16949 system and relevant customer standards.
  • Pursue continuous learning through professional development seminars, conferences, and self-directed studies to stay updated on new technologies and advancements in engineering.

Qualifications

  • Hold a university degree in engineering or equivalent field.
  • Five to seven years of relevant work experience.
  • Track various performance and maintenance metrics using maintenance tracking programs, analyze failure rates and costs to optimize equipment operation and reduce long-term expenses.
  • Select appropriate materials and equipment, apply relevant codes and standards, and utilize suitable measuring tools and methods for projects.
  • Understand electrical/electronic schematic diagrams, blueprints, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, and product specification books.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, managers, and team members, coordinate work among engineers and technicians, and manage project activities involving external parties.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Project Management, APQP, and FMEA development.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks, with experience in statistical analysis software and computer-aided design/manufacturing/machining tools.
