Work Arrangements:

We are looking for an Executive Advisor to support the Vice-President, Emerging Technologies. The selected candidate would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.

The Executive Advisor is accountable for providing management support to the Vice-President in the execution of her accountabilities. This includes proactively identifying, monitoring and assessing issues, risks and opportunities of strategic importance to the division; providing strategic advice on alternative courses of action; developing and monitoring the implementation of action plans; initiating and managing projects; facilitating the development of division performance plans; monitoring performance reports; coordinating and facilitating access to organization-wide advice, preparation of briefings and decision documents and; liaising with NRC at all levels, external government departments and agencies and industry stakeholders.

Education

A Bachelor degree from a recognized university with specialization in science, engineering or business administration or a field closely related to the duties of the position or an acceptable equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Experience
  • Significant experience in assessing priorities, analyzing requirements, developing solutions and obtaining cooperation of other organizations to ensure the timely delivery of services.
  • Significant experience in leading, planning, monitoring and re-aligning studies, projects or strategic initiatives within a fast-paced and complex environment.
  • Experience in researching, preparing reports, correspondence and briefings on a variety of complex matters for use by senior management.
  • Experience in liaising, at a senior level, with other government departments, agencies, and industry.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships within and outside the organization particularly with other science-based and R&D organizations.
  • Experience in managing financial, human and material resources.

Compensation

From $139,391 to $167,243 per annum.
