Job Summary:
Shauna Wallbank is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our team in the community of High Level. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, from infants to seniors. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care and contribute to the growth and development of our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, including routine check-ups, health screenings, and disease management.
- Conduct physical examinations, take medical histories, and order diagnostic tests as needed.
- Develop and implement treatment plans to address patients' medical needs, including prescribing medications and ordering referrals to specialists.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and allied health professionals, to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices to provide evidence-based care.
Requirements:
- Current Alberta Practice Permit or valid CPSA Letter of Eligibility to practice in the advertised position.
- Recent hands-on experience (within the past 2 years) in all areas of practice noted within the Description, as the sole provider.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certifications.
- College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP) and College of Family Physicians of Canada - Emergency Medicine (CCFP-EM) certifications.
- Sole provider of Anesthesia services (Diploma required, with a minimum of six months pre & post diploma experience).
- Geriatrics and Rural Emergency Room Experience.
