Winter Maintenance Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Winter Coordinator to join our team at Miller Paving Limited. As a key member of our winter maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our plow trucks, as well as training and shadowing staff on various duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and maintain the upkeep of plow trucks, including reviewing each truck post-storm and informing the head mechanic of any repairs needed.
  • Train and shadow staff on ERU, Winter Patrolling, Paperwork, Plow Operation, and Duties.
  • Liaise with the MTO, completing forms and reports, scheduling and maintaining operator hours.
  • Ensure all AMDCS systems are in working condition at all times.
  • Review operator performance and correct any actions where necessary.
Requirements
  • DZ or AZ license with a clean driver's abstract required.
  • Previous winter patrolling experience and familiarity with local highways.
  • Strong knowledge of Schedule 1 and how to perform vehicle inspections.
  • Ability to work various shifts and hours (evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays) as winter events require.
  • Knowledge of CVOR requirements and MTO and MOL regulations, ability to complete MTO forms and reports.
  • Mechanically inclined.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to operate a loader and perform other maintenance duties such as patrolling, patching, and minor equipment maintenance.
