Job Title: Full Time Social Worker (MSW), Mental Health & Substance Use Services About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Full Time Social Worker (MSW) to join our team in Surrey, B.C. as part of our Mental Health & Substance Use Services. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide clinical social work services to clients and their families, working collaboratively to coordinate services, manage cases, and facilitate meetings. Key Responsibilities: • Provides comprehensive therapeutic clinical counselling services to clients and their families, community supports, and interdisciplinary treatment teams • Conducts comprehensive social work and psychosocial assessments of clients and families, interpreting data using a variety of modalities • Educates and provides consultation and support to clients, families, and healthcare professionals on issues related to mental health, child protection, and community living • Maintains client records, documenting client assessments, charting client information, and preparing progress notes and reports • Collaborates with mental health and related community service agencies and family physicians to assess and manage individuals at risk • Acts as a resource to clients and their families, providing information on community resources and access to these resources Qualifications: • Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited school of Social Work • Two (2) years' recent, related experience in a mental health treatment setting or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience • Current full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers • Valid Class 5 BC driver's license with access to personal vehicle for business purposes Skills and Abilities: • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of emotional issues related to mental illness and addictions • Comprehensive clinical counselling skills, including crisis counselling, brief therapeutic interventions, and group work • Ability to educate and provide consultation to clients, families, and healthcare professionals • Ability to provide leadership to the interdisciplinary team in care planning for the effective utilization of client resources • Ability to work effectively with others, including working effectively in a multicultural environment, independently, and as part of an integrated interdisciplinary team About Fraser Health: Fraser Health is a leading healthcare provider in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, serving over two million people.
