Job Description

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to provide specialized patient care in an active complex continuing care unit. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for coordinating care, providing patient and family education, and supporting factors that impact customer satisfaction.

  • Administer medications and procedures as per established policies and guidelines
  • Complete health assessments and document observations and changes in patient condition
  • Collaborate with health team members to update individualized care plans
  • Fulfill the charge role and provide support to colleagues
Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate who is competent in their chosen profession and who exemplifies our mission, vision and values of accountability, respect and compassion. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Current Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current Heart & Stroke Approved BLS Provider Card
  • Proven ability to care and manage patients with complex medical needs
  • Completion of a physical health assessment course
  • One year nursing experience in Long Term Care setting
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and compassion
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize depending on changing patient needs
  • Computer skills and data entry experience an asset
  • Evidence of dedication to continuing education
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
