Seeking a skilled Schedule/Project Coordinator to manage multiple projects, develop and maintain project schedules, and support estimating and scheduling business unit deliverables.

The Nuna Group of Companies, a leading Inuit-owned heavy civil construction contractor in Canada, is looking for a detail-oriented individual to join their team in Edmonton, AB.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain an overall active project schedule system, allowing the organization to report on project status and track equipment and personnel.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve a planning and scheduling system that promotes exceptional project execution.
  • Develop and maintain a planning and scheduling document management system for pristine record keeping and filing.
  • Research and introduce new technologies to improve planning, scheduling, and performance management efficiencies.
  • Develop and maintain an extensive training program for planning and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with IT personnel on new application introductions, updates, and integration projects.
  • Collaborate with the Database Administrator to ensure database maintenance and data integrity.
  • Administer application security profiles, users, and libraries for estimating and scheduling programs.
  • Develop and maintain project lead indicators to improve overall project and company performance.
Requirements:
  • Three years of construction industry experience in project planning and scheduling.
  • Progressive responsibility with experience developing schedules and scheduling programs.
  • Experience with the Microsoft suite of software and Primavera Project Planner.
  • Experience in estimating software is an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in training and mentoring junior planners/schedulers.
Education:
  • Related post-secondary education or equivalent experience in construction project scheduling.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Thorough knowledge of estimating procedures and processes.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.
