**Radiological Technologist Opportunity**
Join our team of medical imaging professionals and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
The Radiological Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures, observing safe radiation protection practices. Key responsibilities include:
• Performing general duty radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures in accordance with established standards and protocols
• Operating radiographic and computerized imaging equipment, including processing radiographs and archiving acquired data
• Explaining procedures and providing instructions to patients, answering questions and ensuring relevant clinical data is collected
• Preparing contrast agents and preparing tray set-ups for procedures
• Monitoring patient care and safety, ensuring procedures adhere to department standards and policies
• Participating in quality improvement and risk management procedures and processes
• Cleaning and testing equipment, performing quality control tests and minor adjustments
• Performing clerical duties, including data entry and patient demographics
• Participating in the instruction of employees and/or students, assisting with departmental orientations and in-service presentations
**Requirements**
• Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
• Demonstrated knowledge and practice of safe work procedures with diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging equipment
• Ability to perform radiographic examinations in compliance with departmental standards
• Knowledge of evidence-based practice related to designated modality
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, co-workers, physicians and other health care staff
• Ability to operate related equipment and work independently and in collaboration with others
