Job Summary: Magnum Services seeks a Cement Operator to safely operate and maintain field equipment, perform shop maintenance, and support operational business in Lloydminster, AB. Cement Operator Job Description Reporting to the Station Manager and under the direction of the Supervisor, the Cement Operator is responsible for safely operating and caring for field equipment, performing shop maintenance, and supporting the operational business. Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain, prepare, and operate a pumper for each job, performing proper on-site rig in and rig out procedures, mixing, pumping, pressure tests, plug drops, wash ups, final inspections, and assisting with location clean up.
  • Develop and apply an understanding of all gauges in the operator panel, monitoring pump pressure, rates, densities, and volume during pumping performance.
  • Inspect and perform function tests before equipment leaves the yard, ensuring all components are in working order.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on equipment maintenance and repairs, and submit paperwork before shift end.
  • Perform shop maintenance on field equipment when required, including pumper spring maintenance and fluid end inspections.
  • Rebuild Chiksans and Neutron valves, and assist the Supervisor in job preparations and incident reporting.
  • Adhere to and enforce company safety policies, ensuring compliance with HSE legislation.
  • Develop and maintain strong external/internal client relationships in support of company values and objectives.
  • Establish and maintain procedures to ensure a high level of service.
  • Drive well servicing equipment without a trailer to and from well sites, as required.
  • Work with Station Management to obtain a Class 1 license with company support, when ready.
  • Participate in training and development activities.
  • Perform other general duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driver's record.
  • Physically capable of moving/lifting heavy objects up to 23 kg, bending, standing, gripping, sitting/driving, walking, and climbing repeatedly for extended periods.
  • Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time and in all types of weather conditions.
  • Able to be on call 24 hours on a rotational schedule, remaining fit for duty at all times.
  • Able to work in congested or confined areas, and with exposure to loud noises and vibration.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year driving experience.
  • Interest in getting a Class 1 license and progressing in field operations.
  • Experience in oil and gas field operations.
  • Experience with rig in and rig out procedures, mixing and pumping, pressure tests, plug drops, wash ups, final inspections, and clean up.
  • Experience with equipment and components, including pumping equipment.
  • Maintenance knowledge, mechanically inclined, and able to troubleshoot.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and required paperwork.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, reliable, and dependable.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to change.
  • Understands the importance of safety.
  • Team player and customer service focused.
  • Demonstrated initiative and results orientated.
