Carbon Engineering Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor, Instrumentation and Electrical to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for leading a team of Industrial Electricians, Instrumentation Technicians, and Control Systems Engineers at our Innovation Centre in Squamish, BC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of I&E maintenance personnel to ensure timely and effective maintenance of our plant operations.
  • Develop and implement procedures and solutions to achieve operational milestones without compromising safety and environmental standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members on instrumentation, electrical, and control systems maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Team to investigate underperforming or problematic controls and update control system instrumentation and programming as needed.
  • Develop and maintain company standardization documents and libraries for PLC/DCS programming, HMI design, and interface standards.
Requirements:
  • Red Seal Instrumentation and Control Technician and/or Red Seal Industrial Electrician certification.
  • 10+ years of experience in Oil and Gas, Pulp and Paper, or other chemical production industry.
  • Good understanding of PID, FF, and Cascade Loops.
  • Good understanding of electrical systems, control enclosures, 3-phase systems.
  • Knowledge of multiple PLC/DCS systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens).
  • Knowledge of multiple HMI/SCADA systems (FactoryTalk, Ignition, Experion, Wonderware).
