We are seeking a highly skilled Avalanche Mitigation Specialist to join our team at Alpine Solutions Avalanche Services. As an Avalanche Mitigation Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining equipment and instruments, processing data to conduct basic analyses of trends, and participating in field checks and verification. You will also be involved in programs to forecast and control avalanches in mountainous terrain, perform data entry, and verify accuracy and completeness of data. Additionally, you will work under pressure, handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs), and possess efficient interpersonal skills, be organized, and a team player. The work environment is outdoors, and you will work at various locations, including remote locations. The work setting is seasonal, with 40 hours per week. You will be required to work on the road and communicate in English.
