WestJet is seeking an experienced professional to develop and communicate standards for safe and remarkable ground operations. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of ground operations experience, with a strong understanding of domestic, transborder, and international airport operations. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining a robust Ground Service provider training Acceptance Program and Ground Operations Regulatory Acceptance Program, as well as participating in change management processes to address safety, operational, and financial risk.

The successful candidate will also support Operational Training teams in ensuring the design and development of ground ops training programs support standards compliance and safety, cost, and operational goals. They will create and publish clear and informative communications to inform WestJet leaders and contracted service partners of changes to WestJet's ground operations standards or programs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining Ground Service provider training Acceptance Program and Ground Operations Regulatory Acceptance Program
  • Participating in change management processes to address safety, operational, and financial risk
  • Supporting Operational Training teams in ensuring the design and development of ground ops training programs
  • Creating and publishing clear and informative communications to inform WestJet leaders and contracted service partners
  • Maintaining the Ground & Winter Operations Sharepoint site
  • Conducting analysis on WestJet's Ground Operations Program vs. IATA standards and recommended practices

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of ground operations experience
  • Strong understanding of domestic, transborder, and international airport operations
  • Advanced knowledge of ground operations processes and standards
  • General knowledge of industry standards related to ground operations
  • Experience supporting airports/airline initiatives involving global/network impacts
  • Experience in creation and publication of corporate communications
  • Experience in delivering virtual presentations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and deliverables
  • Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office Suite
