The Safety Director will be responsible for organizing and managing all safety programs and related compliance to all fleet Management. Reporting to the COO, this role is further responsible for ensuring protocols are well executed at all terminals in Ontario.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Manage safety staff and ensure compliance with industry rules and regulations.
  • Actively liaise with the maintenance department and work through regulatory audits.
  • Direct involvement with drivers and dispute-resolution skills.
  • Advise on the investigation and reporting of accidents, incidents, and non-conformances.

**Requirements:**

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in fleet operations.
  • Experience working with government agencies, local city and fire officials.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with business operations in a safety-first culture.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • College/University degree.
  • Certificate courses in safety, such as Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP).
  • A-Z License or previous road experience.
  • Customs Knowledge would be an asset.
