Swing Stage Mechanic

Join our team at Northstar Access as a Swing Stage Mechanic and play a critical role in maintaining and servicing our gear and equipment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our swing stages and scaffolding systems.
Responsibilities:- Conduct safety checks and inspections of gear and equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Perform part inspections on serialized assets to ensure accuracy and quality
- Maintain the Hilti asset management system to track and manage equipment
- Complete equipment maintenance and technical repairs at our yard and on-site at customer locations
- Load and unload delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, with a focus on lifting up to 100lbs
- Prepare orders and ensure gear accuracy to meet customer needs
- Count, stack, and organize swing stage and scaffold gear to maintain a safe and efficient workspace
- Responsible for keeping the swing stage shop and yard clean and organized to ensure a safe working environment
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by adhering to safe work practices and the Northstar Scaffold Safety Philosophy
- Use and clean tools required on the worksites to maintain a safe and efficient workspace
- May operate company vehicles to deliver gear or visit worksites
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience as a mechanic on mechanized access solutions
- 2+ years of technical expertise in maintaining and servicing swing stages
- Class 5 license
- Forklift license an asset
- Capable of lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50lbs and occasionally up to 100lbs
- A team player who works well with others and trains new members as required
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Swing stage and scaffolding knowledge an asset
