Swing Stage Mechanic Job Description Swing Stage Mechanic

Join our team at Northstar Access as a Swing Stage Mechanic and play a critical role in maintaining and servicing our gear and equipment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our swing stages and scaffolding systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct safety checks and inspections of gear and equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Perform part inspections on serialized assets to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Maintain the Hilti asset management system to track and manage equipment
  • Complete equipment maintenance and technical repairs at our yard and on-site at customer locations
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, with a focus on lifting up to 100lbs
  • Prepare orders and ensure gear accuracy to meet customer needs
  • Count, stack, and organize swing stage and scaffold gear to maintain a safe and efficient workspace
  • Responsible for keeping the swing stage shop and yard clean and organized to ensure a safe working environment
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by adhering to safe work practices and the Northstar Scaffold Safety Philosophy
  • Use and clean tools required on the worksites to maintain a safe and efficient workspace
  • May operate company vehicles to deliver gear or visit worksites
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience as a mechanic on mechanized access solutions
  • 2+ years of technical expertise in maintaining and servicing swing stages
  • Class 5 license
  • Forklift license an asset
  • Capable of lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50lbs and occasionally up to 100lbs
  • A team player who works well with others and trains new members as required
  • Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Swing stage and scaffolding knowledge an asset
