What is the opportunity?
As part of the Data Shared Services team, the Manager, Data Lineage and Controls will be responsible for all aspects of the data lineage lifecycle from the original source of the data to the point of consumption of the data into a report, including any associated data transformations.
The ideal candidate will work closely with various Stakeholders to contribute towards policies, standards and procedures in support of Data Lineage
This is a people manger role.
What will you do?
- Providing senior leadership, direction and methodology for analysis, structure and storage of critical organizational data.
- Monitoring and reviewing major organizational activities and goals to ensure important data needs are anticipated, and met.
- Overseeing the integrity and maintenance of organizational data.
- Reviewing and recommending policies and procedures for collecting and managing organization data.
- Proficiency with and ability to deliver Lineage process effectively
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
- 4+ years experience in data management. data lineage capture, data analysis or any other related data programs
- Post-Secondary education or equivalent in Finance, Data Analysis or other related programs
- Experience with data manipulation and analysis tools such as Datameer, SQL, Python
- Experience with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls and compliance
- Experience with data governance and metadata management tools such as Collibra
- Experience handling and deriving information from large data sets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technology staff at different levels of seniority.
Nice to Have
- Graduate / post-graduate or professional designations or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of deep and broad management consulting experience with an emphasis on business strategy or Process / Productivity Improvements
- Lean or Process Improvement Designations
