Job Title: Clinical Coordinator of the Neuromodulation Program

Saskatoon Health Region is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Coordinator to join our team at the General Neurology Specialty Clinic - Epilepsy & Neuromodulation Program.

Job Summary: The Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the clinic team and providing direct clinical care to patients associated with the Neuromodulation Program. This includes waitlist management, referral coordination, assessment, follow-up, and discharge planning. The successful candidate will also participate in administrative functions and provide leadership and support to team members and regional healthcare providers.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Oversight of the clinic team and direct clinical care of Neuromodulation clients
    • Waitlist management, referral coordination, assessment, follow-up, and discharge planning
    • Participation in administrative functions and leadership of the team
    • Development and coordination of effective client-centered care
  • Requirements:
    • Five (5) years acute care nursing experience
    • Three (3) years nursing experience in the specific clinical area
    • Experience in program/resource development related to needs assessment
    • Experience in programming and adjustment of Neuromodulation devices
    • Supervisory experience is an asset

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
  • Nursing diploma is acceptable
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)
  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
  • Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable
  • Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable

Competencies and Knowledge:

  • Basic - Computer skills
  • Basic - Critical thinking skills
  • Knowledge in common neurological problems
  • Knowledge in leadership strategies
  • Knowledge in conflict resolution techniques
  • Knowledge in role of Neurosciences in health system
  • Knowledge in communication techniques and approaches

Other Information:

  • Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
