Network Operations Specialist

This position requires relocation to Woodstock, NB, to effectively service the area. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and support operation of Fixed Wireless, Fibre to the Premise, Satellite and IP devices.
  • Provide 3rd level technical support for Tier 2 unresolved technical issues.
  • Act as technical liaison between Engineering, Network Operations and Field Operations.
  • Maintain network elements and perform proactive analysis of network statistics.
  • Handle emergency escalations and ensure adherence to procedures and ticketing practices.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor network alarms and troubleshoot issues to resolve problems efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Relevant Diploma/Degree or combination of practical work experience and education.
  • 2-5 years of enterprise IT experience in an enterprise computing environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in LAN and WAN environments.
  • Broad knowledge of IT and business processes required in support of enterprise application delivery environments.
  • Background in SNMP, HTTP, VLANs, Internet security software, VoIP, databases, email and web servers.
  • Previous experience with point to multipoint wireless networks and/or VSAT networks with an ISP.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
