Job Title: Arts Reporter/Editor

We are seeking a skilled Arts Reporter/Editor to join our team in Toronto. As a key member of our digital content team, you will be responsible for creating engaging articles, videos, and audio content that showcases the arts scene in the Greater Toronto Area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pitch and produce digital video projects that highlight the arts scene in Toronto.
  • Write and edit online articles that showcase the diversity of the arts in the city.
  • Contribute to the show La billeterie, a popular arts program on our network.
  • Package digital stories with multimedia elements, such as photos and videos.
  • Conduct interviews with artists, curators, and other industry professionals to enrich our web content.
  • Pitch and produce original story ideas for both digital and current affairs programming.
Requirements:
  • University degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • Three years of experience in a related field, with a strong background in writing, editing, and producing digital content.
  • Superior writing and editing skills, with the ability to write engaging articles and produce high-quality video and audio content.
  • Experience in talk/tapes and TV/radio reporting, with a strong understanding of the arts scene in Toronto.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to tight deadlines, with a strong commitment to reflecting community and diversity.
  • Solid command of spoken and written French, with intermediate oral, writing, and reading proficiency in English.
