Job Summary

Provide personal care and support to clients in a residential care unit, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.

Job Description

As a Continuing Care Assistant, you will work with clients to encourage their independence and self-care, while also providing emotional support and companionship. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as supporting clients with their physical and emotional needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, toileting, and mobility
  • Support clients with their physical and emotional needs, including providing emotional support and companionship
  • Encourage clients to participate in activities that promote their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being
Requirements
  • Continuing Care Assistant certificate (CCA)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
Other Information
  • Valid driver's license, where required
  • Food Safe certificate, where required
  • Conditional hire must complete required education/equivalent within 2 years
  • If no qualified applicant(s), a conditional hire may be considered
