About the Role:

As a Continuing Care Assistant, you'll be responsible for providing personal care and activities of daily living for our residents. This may include assisting with bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as supporting their nutritional needs. You'll also be responsible for promoting the spiritual, emotional, and psychological well-being of our residents, creating a warm and welcoming environment that fosters a sense of community.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver personalized care to our residents, responding to their individual needs and preferences.
  2. Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  3. Support the nutritional needs of our residents, preparing and serving meals as required.
  4. Promote the spiritual, emotional, and psychological well-being of our residents.
  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with our residents, their families, and our care team.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A Continuing Care Assistant certificate (CCA) or equivalent.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in electronic medical records systems.
  • An ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Description: Provides personal care and activities of daily living for clients/patients/residents to encourage optimum level of functioning. Supports clients/patients/residents in meeting their physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual needs.

Education: Continuing Care Assistant certificate (CCA)

Competencies: Organizational skills, Communication skills, Interpersonal skills, Basic - Computer skills

Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to work independently

Other Information: Must be available a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours per 3 week period. Must be available all shifts, short shifts, short notice calls, stats and holidays, where applicable.
