Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Financial Manager to join their team in Toronto. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee and be responsible for the company's accounting business and financial management issues, creating strategies, business plans, financial budgets, and plans. The successful candidate will have the chance to explore resources effectively while reporting and assessing the company's performance relating to short-term and long-term targets.

Responsibilites:

  • Prepare strategies, business plans, financial budget timely, setting up reasonable performance targets
  • Monitor and keep compliant with financial indicators, preparing regulatory reports
  • Assist in setting up and updating the Bank's taxation policies and procedures
  • Manage income tax, indirect taxes, other tax issues related to non-residents as well as related parties
  • Measure, monitor and forecast the Bank's liquidity status
  • Monitor and manage the branch's expense, cost and other resources consumption in a reasonable and compliant basis

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Financial Manager role is a university graduate with at least five years of experience in financial management. You should have experience with accounting within financial institutions in the banking business. A sound knowledge of IFRS or local GAAP, Tax regulations and banking regulations is essential. Proficiency in assembling spreadsheets and drawing charts using computer software is required. You should be skillful in policy-making and writing. Holders of certificates such as CFA, FRM, CPA, ACCA will be given preference. Above all, you should be an excellent team player with good communication skills.

  • University graduate with five years of financial management experience
  • Experience with accounting within financial institutions in banking
  • Regulatory reporting experience (ideally OSFI)
  • Knowledge of IFRS or local GAAP, Tax regulations and banking regulations
  • Proficient in assembling spreadsheets and drawing charts using computer
  • Skillful in policy making and writing
  • Holders of certificates such as CFA, FRM, CPA, ACCA are preferred
