Our Automation & Digitalization division is looking for a Senior Engineer who specializes in the design, development, and implementation of control systems for industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead control systems projects from inception to completion, ensuring project goals, timelines, and budgets are met.
- Design and develop control systems, including hardware and software components, to meet the specific requirements of a project.
- Develop and implement control algorithms and logic.
- Integrate control systems with existing or new equipment, machinery, or processes.
- Test and debug control systems to ensure proper functionality and adherence to specifications.
- Prepare technical documentation, including system specifications, design documents, user manuals, and maintenance procedures.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and resourcing.
- Define project objectives, scope, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Manage project risks and issues.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of project milestones.
- Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and technologists.
- Assist with the development of proposals.
- Ensure compliance with ANDRITZ Quality System.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering with a focus on automation and electrification technologies.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial engineering; preferably in Pulp & Paper.
- Consulting engineering experience an asset.
- Registered as an EIT or P.Eng., or AScT in British Columbia.
- Strong understanding of automation and electrification technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Project management experience an asset.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Ability and willingness to travel to domestic and international sites.
